He established the Shiva lingam at the Omkar place of Shiva and started meditating by worshiping. He worshiped Shiva in a fruitless manner for 6 months. Lord Shiva was very happy with the faith of Parvataraja and Shiva gave his darshan to Mount Vindhyachal. Lord Shiva said to Mount Vindhyachal that I have been very happy with your devotion and faith. Therefore, you can ask for boon whatever you want. Vindhyachal mountain bowed to Lord Shiva and said that if you have really pleased me. So, give me such a boon that my intellect is sharp and all my works can be proved according to my wish. Lord Shiva granted him the boon that he wanted.
After offering the boon to Lord Shiva, there were more Devas and Rishis of Devlok present. And they all requested Shiva to dwell here forever.
